Pix Army Knife (prototype)
A downloadable tool for Windows

A tool I made back in 2010 which I used frequently myself.
It is a program designed to be a more advanced pixel editor, like an extension to MS Paint. There weren't a lot of dedicated pixel-specific tools at the time. Nowadays, there's lots of options for pixel editors, and they are much more feature rich than my tool.
I don't use this tool anymore, but I am offering it here for archival purposes. Its been updated to work on Windows 10, but otherwise I didn't tinker with it much since roughly 2012.
I likely won't add new features in the future. This program is provided "as-is".

just wondering, out of consideration............................is it okay to make adjustments to the ui like create multiple ui skin options and plugins for this if i were to want to? (i do). of course i would credit back to you though.
I'm not sure exactly what you mean, could you be a little more clear? I'll try to answer what I think your question is below:
- If you are asking "can I modify the UI of this program for my own personal non-commercial use", then the answer is "yes". But, all the art for the UI is built into the EXE in a compressed format, so I'm not sure if it would be easy to modify the UI. If you can figure out a way to do that, feel free to do that.
- If you are asking "can I use ui elements from this program in my own work" then the answer is "no." The ui elements were designed for this specific project, and I would prefer they not be used for other projects.
- if you are asking *me* if I am going to modify the application to allow for "multiple ui skin options" then the answer is "no, not for this app." I wrote this program a long time ago and the way it is designed would not be easy to modify in that way. So I don't plan on making any UI/skin modifications.
But again, if you know of a way to modify the UI of compiled EXE files, then feel free to do that! I just don't know if that's a simple thing to do or not, and I don't plan on adding support for such a feature in this program.
Let me know if answered your question properly, or if I totally misunderstood.
oh i meant the first one!!!! yeah. i just have a thing where i often tend to want to make uis as customizable as i can at least with how i can change the color scheme of a ui. that and i think me trying to figure out how to do that with a singular exe file would be good practice for what ive been doing lately.
Ok yeah sure, feel free to modify the program however you want. I'm not sure how easy it would be to modify, due to the way its compiled, but if you do figure something out, let me know.
